Selection Committee

It's general task

 

Apply the selection policy and allocate apartments as per the cooperative's needs and good functionning. 

 

 

The tasks related to the selection committee members

- Establish the priority needs when searching for new members;

- Receive and assess the candidacies of potential members;

- Summon the candidates;

- Do the credit check and others (Apro-Bail);

- Prepare and make the interviews;

- Make recomendations for retained candidates to the board of directors and inform the candidates of their acceptance or refusal;

 

Tasks related to dwellings transfers

- Advise the members that an apartment will become vacant shortly;

- Receive and assess the requests for transfer as the the policy on transfer requests;

- Make recommendations to the board of directors regarding the transfer of a member;

- If needed, interview the interested members

 

Tasks related to publicising of the apartments

- Contact the households  (waiting list);

- Publicize the availabilities (papers, notices, etc.);

- Receive the phone calls;

- Arrange for vacant apartment visits

 

Tasks related to the management of the waiting lists 

- Receive the requests and date on their reception;

- Have them fill out the current application forms and date the filled-out forms upon reception;

- Do a yearly update of the waiting list

 

Tasks related to entering the cooperative

- Deliver the membership binder to read prior to the signing of the lease;

- Make sure that the new member has home insurance;

- Prepare and have the lease signed;

- Prepare and have the members contract signed;

- Give the keys
